Good to know

What do I need?

One clear selfie for the selfie modes and My Card, or a screenshot of your Pokémon GO profile (the ME screen) for the two screenshot modes. You pick the Pokémon from our catalog; you never have to type a Pokémon’s name. The selfie must be of you: Google refuses photos of well-known people and stills from films or TV, and a picture it refuses still uses its credits.

How do credits work?

Each picture has a price in credits that depends on the mode and the options you choose, and you see it before you generate. Editing a card’s text is free. There are no free credits.

What if a Pokémon comes out wrong?

A second AI compares every Pokémon in the picture with its official artwork before you see it. If we can’t finish a picture, its credits go back to your balance, unless Google refused your photo. If you spot a mistake we missed, press “The Pokémon looks wrong”: we review every report.

Which Pokémon can I pick?

Every species and form in our catalog: Mega Evolutions, Gigantamax forms, regional forms such as Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian and Paldean, and the shiny colours of each.

What happens to my photos?

They stay private, are served only through short-lived links, and your selfies and screenshots are deleted after 30 days. Location data is removed when you upload. You can delete any picture whenever you like.

Is this an official Pokémon product?

No. Trainer Studio is a fan-made photo studio for personal use, not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures, The Pokémon Company or Niantic.
